We feel that most Persians are lap cats by nature, but some have to be trained extra to love the lap. From birth, we do our part to socialize all the kittens. Our house is somewhat boisterous, filled with large dogs, friends that goo goo gaa gaa over the cats, other cats, and chickens who constantly sing in the backyard. Our Persians tolerate the noise and excitement very well and always manage to be the most presentable, well-mannered group of the bunch. You must keep up training and socialization at home. We beleive that only cats that receive positive reinforcement will turn into lap cats.
